I know what it feels like, sitting there wondering why God has abandoned you. I know you feel like the situation is overwhelming and you feel like the situation will never get better. Trust me it will.Sometimes we have no will to live on or do anything. We are simply there waiting for a better day but trust me better days don’t comee, we make them. We strive to make everyday the best day but not on our own, its through God. He gives us the strength and courage to face the day on. I don’t know what my days would be like without God. Everyday i derive my courage from God because even I am feeling in my weakest, I know He is by my side. 2 corinthians 12:9-10 says, ” But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Remember that when everyone is laughing at your weaknesses, In Jesus your are are strong. In God alone can we find our strength. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9.He made His promises very clear, that He will be with us wherever we go, and trust me He never disappoints. God is a God of wonders and God who shows up at your lowest. He never lets us wonder away from His presence but we have to Be still and hear His Voice in the Silence of our hearts. He is a good God and His promises are every true. Don’t hang yourself because your husband cheated on you, i know its painful, but God needs you past the pain to His glory which He has planned ahead. don’t take revenge, be humble and sincere in your dealings, otherwise the guilt in your heart will never let you be in peace.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” john 4:4 When God called us
His children, He knows and gives us a special place in His kingdom. For example if you are a child of you parents, you inherit everything that They own, all the good things are yours. you are sure that anything good that your parents bring forth, you will always have the first priority. That is the same, or even better with our God. He never lacks and is always giving us better opportunities and first priorities.

Most of the time we doubt God’s love and whether trully He is really there but everytime we are reminded of His ever unfailing presence and love in our lives. Meditate, Pray and talk to others especially people you trust because surely even though you walk through the shadow of death, fear not, for He is with you,For His rod and staff comfort you. Psalms 23.

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” Numbers 23:19. This is my daily verse. God is so wise and so loving that we can not comprehend His wisdom nor His love. On earth we are more than a billion human beings and when He was creating, God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Genesis 1:26. What then would would you perceive as the image of God. Every human being is a likeness and an image of our maker but still we choose to be racist and discriminate between jews and non-jews, christians and non-christians, black and whites. Our image is that of God. preach peace and love your neighbor. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31, these are the two greatest commandments that Jesus gave us. He did not ask you to go out and fight with your neighbor because he is black or because his family is muslim. If you cannot love what you can see, then how can you love God yet you have never seen him? Christianity or faith is when you believe in what you cannot see. ” Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” 1 John 4:20.Learn to forgive and move on. Can you imagine Jesus had no sin, but He loved us so dearly He chose to die for us? How then can you thank such a man? when you do wrong every day and you confess your sins to him and ask him to forgive you, does He hesitate? Does HE not lift your burdens and make you walk in righteousnes? Learn to forgive and move on. “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:18.

Today I am preaching a message of peace to someone out there. It is the Lent season. Walk with Christ during this period of trial and above all, pray alot. Make prayer your number one item on you things to do before you go to work, before you go to sleep and after work. Teach your kids that nothing is more important than loving you neighbor. Tell them that the only difference between being black and white is just the skin, beyond that we are equal and worthy of Christs’ love. Be the first to show them that muslims are not terrosts just because they wear hijabs, niqap, burka, chador or khimar. They are our friends, our colleagues at work and our neighbors. God is not a God of one religion or one race,HE is a GOD of all people not considering their color, race or religion. HE loves us all and so should you be stranded when a person you think is different says helo to you, just recall this verse: GALATIANS 5:14 “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

You wish to see change in the world, It begins with you being the change.

Have you ever wished you were the one guiding your favorite character in a movie or on your favorite soap opera? You see them trust the wrong people and you try to warn them while you are watching but unfortunately you can’t help them. You seem them take  a wrong turn and they meet a kidnapper or a bandit but you saw it all happen but you can’t do anything. While you are watching the movie, you have the knowledge of exactly how things are going to happen. You know every move and every role of each character. That is the way God is. He has the wisdom and knowledge of what is happening in our lives. Lucky for us, in this movie called life, God always guides us, he never lets us go astray but when we ignore His warnings we fall in danger, temptations and wrong doing. He sees all because He is above all.

Always be connected to Christ. Before you take a step further in the day ask him to guide you so you will not fall. Most of the time is when we don’t make a connection with the Lord. He can lead us from the edge, He can turn our situations but we fail to consider his perspective. We fail to make that call and very oftenly we fall with our head first on the ground.

1st corinthians 2:14 says: “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” The things of God can only be discerned in the spirit but the natural man does not understand this.Wisdom means having clear understanding and insight. It means knowing how to apply the truth in every situation. It’s discerning what is right and wrong. It’s having good judgment. It’s being able to sense when you are getting too close to the edge. It’s making the right choice or decision. And only God knows what that is. “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (John 16:13).

how to walk in wisdom

  1. Be in the word of God. proverbs 2:1-2 My son, if you accept my words  and store up my commands within you turning your ear to wisdom  and applying your heart to understanding—then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
  2. Pray for wisdom. James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
  3. Acknowledge the Lord in everything. Proverbs 3:6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight
  4. Walk in reverence of God. proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
  5. Listen to wise people. proverbs 22:17 Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise;  apply your heart to what I teach.
  6. value wisdom above all. proverbs 4:5-6 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.
  7. walk in obedience. proverbs 2:7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
  8. Be humble. proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
  9. Love your neighbor. proverbs 11:12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.
  10. Seek the wisdom of God and not of this world. 1st corinthians 1:20-21, 30 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Over the weekend i happened to attend a ordinatio sacerdotalis in other words priestly ordination and my elder brother was being ordained as a priest. I have never in my entire life seen him so content and happy. i could tell from his bold smile and talkativeness, usually he is very quite and humble, that he was happy and had found his calling. His beautiful new priestly robe made me imagine myself in that beautiful white wedding gown some day and it made me wonder, do we always answer to our calling? Have you ever at one time prayed that God will show you your vocation or does it come so automatically?

Let us first define a vocation. A vocation is a strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation. Sometimes we follow our parents wishes, may be they want you to be a doctor but instead your wish is to be a photographer. The word of God in Ephesians 4:1 says: As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Paul spoke this words while He was a prisoner. He urged all christians to live a worthy life of the calling they have received from Christ Jesus. While Paul was being persecuted for answering God’s call, he never at one time had regrets or felt that the suffering was too much that he could stop being a follower of Christ and a teacher of the Word.

Most of the time is when we wake up and start going around our business without prayer. We go to work and just hope the day is over. We easily get tired even before tea break at 10.00 am on a Monday and you start wishing you can go home and do something else. That is NOT your vocation. Perhaps you are just there for the money and you are not happy. In jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. This is a promise that God made to His people, and you are His and as we all know, God always fulfils His promises although sometimes we are impatient and we fail to wait on Him.

In John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you”. God appointed you personally to do that thing that you love most. HE might have appointed someone else on the same job as you but He gave you something so unique that HE did not give to that other person. Am sure God did not give you a Vocation and let you and your family sleep hungry and have no shelter or your kids fail to go to school. God gave your job that will bear fruits that will last forever. Do not be content with easy money, it never lasts. Work hard for the things you want and your hardwork will flow in your generations to come.

Pray for your kids to find their calling. Don’t ever force anyone to do what they do not love to do because at the end of the day thier happiness is equal to your happiness and no matter how fulfilled you may fill because that someone is working and earning well, you will not be happy if they are not happy. Pray also for your vocations and be ready to help others who need your help in their vocations. Be like the disciples of Jesus, like Apostle Paul, who even when they were persecuted for answering God’s call did not give up on their vocations. Vocations are not just in the church, not about being a priest or a sister, marriage is also a vocation, photography, sports, teacher, accountant or what else you want to be glorifying God in all our vocations.

Answer GOD’S call and be ready to do what He tells you to do because many are invited but few are chosen Mathhew 22:14.

Be wise and not otherwise

what is life to you? do you value life? is it worth living?have you ever hadan experience that made you want to take away you life? do you think its worth that Jesus died on the cross for us that our life may be saved?

am not a pastor or a bishop or a religious leader but a young adult, a youth, living in the promises of christ. am exploring the mind of JESUS,the Bible. i may not have all the answers about life but the mind of Christ does. God gave us the Bible so that we may find the answers to our everyday questions. Our desire is to know God, to know what He has for Us, To understand His purpose for us in LIFE.

A few years ago, i was just a common/normal christian who went to church, gave the offering, listened to the word but i would leave the church an empty vessel. why? because i didn’t know the deeper meaning of the sunday service. i didn’t know what it is like to serve Christ and have His word in my heart always. If you read the word of God in Luke 2:19,Mary the Mother of God would hear the angels words and keep them in her heart. That is how i always wanted to be, like mother Mary, but my life was so far from that. Then it happened seven months ago. One pastor and his wife, pastor Levi and Cate, whom i will always be greatful for, helped me surrender fully to christ. I always yearned for the uncondititonal, unending love of Christ but i was always afraid. I was afraid not of Christ but what people would say.

That fateful night of september 2016, is a day i will never forget. I felt God in my soul, my body, my heart and my mind. He filled me with the Holy Spirit and Completely changed my life. I found the deeper meaning of service, i felt the unending love of Jesus. my fears were gone. My prayers changed. i was born again. I had new faith and to this day my life has never been the same.

It’s my sincere hope that someone reading this posts will change their life and be a better person who JESUS is proud of because after all we are created in His own Image GEN. 1:26-27.
